The start of Steelers training camp usually features a grueling set of 40-yard dashes for the team under the watchful eyes of the coaching staff.

The drills are a tradition ... and a quick way to tell how the team members have spent the summer.

Much of the focus this day was on quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, back on the field after recovery from a life-threatening motorcycle crash.

He cleared his first hurdle by effortlessly running a series of 14 40-yard dashes with his teammates on the field at St. Vincent College in Latrobe.
