Two times within the last month thieves have stolen copper downspouts from churches on Washington Avenue. Anyone who sees people tampering with downspouts is asked to contact the Carnegie Police Department.

Chris Eltschlager, 27, of Carnegie, was arrested Sunday on a warrant by Allegheny County for charges of receiving stolen property and driving under the influence of alcohol.

Corey Neil Brandebura, 30, of Carnegie, was charged Saturday with simple assault following a domestic violence incident on Seventh Avenue.

David P. Sams, 49, of Carnegie, was charged July 11 with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct on Fifth Avenue. On July 12, he and his brother, Dennis, 40, also of the 200 block of Sixth Avenue, were charged with simple assault following a domestic incident. David Sams then was charged also with criminal mischief after being accused of clogging up the commode in his cell with his underwear.

Gladys K. Barker, 72, and John W. Barker, 77, both of Carnegie, were charged July 12 with violating the borough ordinance against disorderly locations after police received repeated calls about a domestic disturbance at their home.

Toby Kovach, 27, of Carnegie, was charged last Thursday with possession of drug paraphernalia on Midland Avenue.

On July 6, the state Transportation Department reported aluminum bridge support rails worth $32,000 had been stolen from a supply yard adjacent to a construction trailer off Washington Pike near Steen Road.

On July 11, contractors for the Chartiers Valley Shopping Center parking lot redesign project reported the theft of two bundles of white pipe of unknown value from the parking lot.

Michael Tabachka, 35, of Main Street, was charged July 10 with driving under the influence of alcohol on Noblestown Road after, police said, the car he was operating passed a patrol car at a high rate of speed.

John Valduga, 51, of Avella, was charged July 13 with robbery in connection with a July 5 purse snatching in the parking lot of Walgreen's.
Witnesses obtained a license plate number and police obtained a photo of the suspect, which enabled them to obtain a warrant for Valduga's arrest.

Warren Persful, 26, and Christopher Schlossler, 41, both of Hopkinsville, Ky., were charged last Thursday with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance after, police said, they stopped their vehicle on Foster Avenue and discovered drugs.
Pennsbury Village
Walter Kunusky, 51, of Boswell, Somerset County, was charged with harassment, stalking and disorderly conduct on Pennsview Court.
Scott
Robert Allan Walker, 51, of Scott, was charged last Thursday with driving under the influence of alcohol and traffic enforcement violations after police said they saw his car moving erratically on Lindsay Road.

Mark Tomeo, 45, of Scott, was charged Monday with assault and harassment following a domestic dispute with a family member.

Charles Schuetz, 23, of Scott, was charged July 13 with public drunkenness after police, who had received a call about a domestic dispute at his house, said they saw him running away.

Frank Herman Bacu, 56, of Scott, was charged July 16 with disorderly conduct and public drunkenness after he was found, police said, passed out on the steps across from the Glendale Volunteer Fire Department.

Benjamin Joel Morrow, 24, of Scott, was charged Friday with disorderly conduct, scattering rubbish and trash, and other offenses after police said they received a report about a man throwing furniture out of a third-floor window on Carothers Avenue.

Christopher Channing Sullivan, 18, of Carnegie, was charged last Thursday with harassment and terroristic threats after police said they received a complaint from another man.

Lacy Ann Solomon, 25, of Scott, was charged Friday with disorderly conduct, loitering and unlawful assembly after, police said, she refused to leave the sidewalk at an officers' request.
South Fayette
During the night of July 6-7, thieves entered the Franco-Belgian Club on Main Street in Sturgeon and stole $280 from a cash register and cash box and damaged four poker machines.

A 1989 green Ford Bronco was reported stolen July 7 from Main Street in Sturgeon.
