Special notes

All-Star Game -- Streets near PNC Park and the David L. Lawrence Convention Center are closed or restricted to accommodate Tuesday's game and associated events that began Friday. Interstate 279 HOV lanes will open early in the outbound direction at 1 p.m. tomorrow and Tuesday to help with traffic; two-per-vehicle restriction is lifted both days.

"Wings Over Pittsburgh" -- Business Route 60 closed west of Route 60 Junction to University Boulevard 2-4:15 p.m. today during Blue Angels performance. Port Authority providing special 28A Wings Over Pittsburgh Flyer buses every 15 minutes, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. to the airport, starting at Penn Station. Stops on Liberty Avenue, West Carson at Duquesne Incline and along West Busway to Bell Avenue.

Pennsylvania Turnpike

Hulton Road Bridge -- Intermittent stoppages up to 50 minutes between 10 p.m. Wednesday and 5 a.m. Thursday while girders are removed for construction of the second half of the turnpike overpass near Oakmont.

Route 22, Robinson -- Fifteen-minute traffic stoppages in Robinson, Washington County, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. weekdays, Thursday through July 28, for bridge erection work connected with Findlay Connector construction.

Interstates

I-376, Parkway East -- The 2.6-mile repair/paving between Grant Street and Bates Street was not finished by Friday morning as planned. Four nights of work remain; activity to resume July 17.

I-70, Washington County -- Lane restrictions lifted through July 17 due to heavy traffic over 5.4 miles between Exits 6 and 11 where milling, resurfacing have been taking place.

Also, traffic reduced to one lane in both directions 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. Wednesday and Friday nights between the I-79 North Junction and Jefferson Avenue, South Strabane. Contractor will be lifting beams into place for a new North Main Street overpass.

I-79, Allegheny County -- Southbound side closed, traffic maintained on northbound side, two lanes in each direction, over six-mile stretch west of Pittsburgh, including Parkway West interchange.

Lane and shoulder closings between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily and new single-lane restrictions at times on mainline and ramps during repairs on I-79 bridges over Ohio River.

I-79, Butler County -- Off-peak resurfacing on 9.3 miles between Exit 96 and Lawrence County line.

I-79, Washington County -- Overnight single-lane restrictions between Laboratory and Lone Pine exits 7 p.m.-7 a.m. weekdays.

I-80, Jefferson County -- Lane restrictions for crack and joint repairs between Exits 15 and 16. Working overnight through Labor Day. Delays, changing traffic patterns.

State highways

Route 8, Butler -- Replacing overpass at Route 422. Detour posted. Also, resurfacing Route 8 between Routes 422 and 308 in Butler and Center townships.

Route 8, Etna-Shaler -- Traffic using northbound lanes through area known as "Mae West Bend," one lane in each direction.

Route 8, Hampton -- One lane traffic each way through December for $1.5 million replacement of the concrete box-beam bridge carrying Route 8 over Pine Creek.

Route 22, Indiana County -- Construction on Penn View Mountain. Lane restrictions, changing traffic patterns.

Route 22, Westmoreland County -- Cozy Inn Bridge to Route 66, Delmont, one lane each way for reconstruction.

Also, restrictions for widening, reconstruction of four miles east of Route 981 in New Alexandria.

Route 28, Armstrong County -- PennDOT repairing concrete roadway, bridges over 2.9 miles in South Buffalo. Labor Day finish.

Route 30, Westmoreland County -- Westbound closed, traffic maintained on eastbound lanes between Claypike and Barnes roads, North Huntingdon.

Route 31, Westmoreland County -- Eastbound climbing lane in Mount Pleasant Township closed, part of widening from three lanes to four lanes.

Route 48, Monroeville -- Mosside Boulevard Bridge being replaced with four-lane structure at North Versailles/Wall line.

Route 51, Elizabeth-Forward -- One-lane each way for repairs, paving between Roberts Hollow Road and Allegheny-Westmoreland county line.

Route 51, Rostraver -- One-lane restrictions from I-70 north to the Allegheny County line through November.

Route 60, Aliquippa -- One-lane restrictions through fall while PennDOT paves 6.2 miles between Center and South Heights interchanges.

Route 65, Leetsdale -- Traffic reduced to one lane for new Leetsdale Overpass between Ferry and Cross streets.

Route 88, Finleyville -- Delays in the heart of town while the intersection is lowered and rebuilt at Finley-Elrama Road. Paving has begun.

Route 119, Hempfield -- Widening, resurfacing, new signalization south of Greensburg. Lane closures, restrictions.

Route 366, Westmoreland County -- Eastbound traffic using new intersection and highway at the Parnassus Triangle. Other restrictions, short detours, temporary business access.

Other roads

Babcock Boulevard, McCandless -- Single alternating lane of traffic 8 a.m.-4 p.m. weekdays while 2.7 miles are repaved between Route 910 and Pierce Mill Road.

Bethel Church Road, Bethel Park -- Intermittent single-lane closures near the Upper St. Clair line for paving. October finish.

California Avenue, Pittsburgh -- Changing traffic patterns during replacement of 35-year-old bridge over Route 65.

Forsythe Road, Carnegie-Scott -- Traffic reduced to single, alternating lane, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. weekdays through mid-August for paving between Woodruff Drive and Greentree Road.

Grant Avenue, Etna -- Bridge carrying Grant over Pine Creek closed through November while a two-lane, two-way bridge is built, part of Route 8 Mae West Bend project.

Greentree Road, Scott -- Northbound reduced to a single lane through August between Forsythe Road and Chatham Park Drive to build roadside bus stop.

Perrymont Road, McCandless -- Single, alternating lane, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. weekdays through August for resurfacing between McKnight Road and Perry Highway.

Saxonburg Boulevard, West Deer -- Single, alternating lane, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Saturday. Paving 2.6 miles between Bairdford and Bakerstown/Culmerville roads.

Streets Run Road -- PennDOT resurfacing 3 miles of Streets Run/Baldwin Road in Pittsburgh, Baldwin and West Mifflin, limiting traffic from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays for several weeks.

Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon-Dormont -- Resurfacing, other improvements covering .7 miles between Central Square and McFarland Road. Lane restrictions, changing traffic patterns.

Major bridges

31st Street Bridge, Pittsburgh -- Closed for rehabilitation. Use 40th Street Bridge or 16th Street Bridge.

Anderson Bridge, Schenley Park -- One-lane restrictions while city repairs Boulevard of Allies sidewalks.

Bolivar Bridge, Indiana County -- PennDOT opened the new $4.8 million, Route 259 span west of Johnstown on Thursday and named it after Army Pfc. Wesley E. Dodson, who was killed in Vietnam in 1967.

Homestead Grays Bridge -- Upstream lanes closed. Fifth Avenue ramp open for "Right Turn Only." Amity Street and rail crossing now open to exit The Waterfront.

Port Authority

All-Star service -- Extra buses, trolleys and other changes while parking is at a premium and roads and bridges are closed near PNC Park. Pick up "Way to Go Pittsburgh All-Star Game" pamphlets at schedule racks, or visit www.portauthority.org, for "All-Star Service Information."

Bus detours -- Bus detours, relocated stops in place for All-Star Game activities will be lifted at the end of regular service on Wednesday.

Grand Prix detours -- 53F, 53H, 56U and 67H buses will be detoured from 6 p.m. Friday through next Sunday night for the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix Race.
