Residents continue fight Park Place zoning change
Thursday, June 29, 2006

Nearly 30 Park Place residents spoke against a proposed zoning change at a City Council hearing yesterday. Council is next to vote on the matter, following approval of the change by the planning commission in April.

Three properties would be rezoned commercial if council follows the recommendation of the planning department and commission. Opponents beseeched council not to allow commercial encroachment.

Residents want to foil Walgreen's plans for a store at Penn and South Braddock avenues.
