There are various strawberry festivals scheduled this weekend: Trax Farm's is tomorrow through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Shadyside Presbyterian Church is hosting a strawberry festival tomorrow evening from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Or you might want to head out on Saturday morning either to a farm or farmers market for the freshest strawberries in season, although recent rainy weather has delayed the crop a bit.
Availability may be iffy at farmers markets until next week, but many farmers said they hope to have some strawberries for sale by Saturday.
Here's a list of places in the Pittsburgh region. Unless otherwise noted, all of these places sell "already picked" strawberries.
We also indicate whether "pick your own" strawberries are available or not.
