Pacifiers
KI, also known as Kole Imports, is recalling 3,600 packages of pacifiers in packs of two. The pacifier's nipple can easily detach from the guard, posing a serious choking hazard to young children.

The recalled pacifiers are rubber nipples attached to a white or light blue plastic guard. The cardboard packaging has a picture of a baby, some toy blocks, a toy train engine and a diaper pin with a bear on it. The pacifiers are sold in packs of two. Writing on the front of the packaging includes, "Baby," "2 pack Pacifiers" and "BI194." The back of the packaging has an American flag and the writing, "AN AMERICAN COMPANY."

Discount dollar stores sold the pacifiers from August through March for about $1.

Consumers should contact the retailer where they purchased the pacifiers or KI for a full refund.

Off-road vehicles
Arctic Cat Inc. is recalling about 2,120 Prowler XT off-highway utility vehicles. The rear brake caliper on these units could leak brake fluid, resulting in reduced braking ability at the rear wheels. The front-wheel brakes are unaffected.

The Prowler XT was produced in three colors: green, Cat green and red. The vehicles have the words "Arctic Cat" printed on each side of the cargo box and the name "Prowler XT" centered on the front of the hood. The affected units are all 2006 Prowler XT vehicles with a VIN range of 4UF06MPVO6T300001 through 4UF06MPV16T302369. The VIN is located on the rear upper-frame tube of the vehicle near the rear of the cargo box, and on the registration materials the consumer received at the time of purchase. Consumers need only refer to the last six digits of the VIN to determine if the vehicle is included in this recall. The model number is contained in the registration materials received with the vehicle at the time of purchase. The following model numbers are included in this recall:

Prowler XT Green U2006P2S4BUSG; Prowler XT Cat Green U2006P2S4BUSZ; and Prowler XT Red U2006P2S4BUSR.

Arctic Cat dealerships sold the vehicles from July through May for about $9,000.

Consumers with a recalled Prowler XT should contact their local Arctic Cat ATV dealer to schedule a free repair. Registered owners have been notified about this recall by mail. If consumers are unsure if their Prowler XT is affected, they should contact Arctic Cat.

Lighted mirrors
Wal-Mart Stores Inc. is recalling about 110,000 lighted mirrors. Exposed wires inside the mirror could pose an electrical shock hazard to users when they touch the mirror.

The recalled mirror is double-sided, lighted and has three touch control settings. It has a metal stand with a brushed silver-colored finish. The mirror is 6.5 inches in diameter and has a regular side and a magnified side. Model number DK-00118/H-1698-0 is on the bottom of the mirror's base. "Touch lighting with 3 settings" is printed on a white sticker on the top of the mirror's base.

Wal-Mart stores sold the mirrors from August through April for about $15.

Consumers should return the mirrors to Wal-Mart for a full refund.

For more information, contact Wal-Mart at 1-800-925-6278 from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. CT Monday through Friday, or visit the firm's Web site at www.walmartstores.com.

Electric smokers
Masterbuilt Manufacturing Inc. is recalling about 10,700 electric smokehouse smokers. Smoldering wood chips used in the wood chip box can ignite into flames when the door of the unit is opened, posing a risk of burn injuries to users and property damage to nearby combustibles.

The electric smokehouse model ESQ30B has a black powder-coated outer shell with the Masterbuilt Electric Smokehouse logo on the front door. The electric smokehouse model ESQ30S has a stainless steel outer shell with the Masterbuilt Electric Smokehouse logo on the front door. The model number is located on a metal plate on the back of the unit.

Sporting goods stores sold the smokers from July through May for between $200 and $250.

Consumers should contact the firm to receive free repair kit.
