A state Gaming Control Board employee who was arrested Saturday after an altercation with city police has been suspended without pay, state officials said.
Nick Hays, a spokesman for the board, said Justin Husar, 26, an agent for the Gaming Control Board, was suspended pending an internal investigation.
Mr. Husar was arrested after police said he became unruly when he tried to enter a bar on the South Side without paying a cover charge. He was charged with escape, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.
The matter is being investigated by the Gaming Control Board's Office of Professional Responsibility, Mr. Hays said.
Mr. Husar is the fifth gaming board employee to be arrested since August.
