PGA Tour

Event: Byron Nelson Championship.

Where: TPC Four Seasons Resort Las Colinas, 7,016 yards, par 70, and Cottonwood Valley Course, 6,847 yards, par 70, Irving, Texas.

When: Today-Sunday.

Purse: $6.2 million.

Winner's share: $1,116,000.

TV: USA, 4-6 p.m. today-tomorrow; KDKA, 3-6 p.m. Saturday-Sunday.

Last year: Ted Purdy closed with a 65 for a one-stroke victory over Sean O'Hair. Tiger Woods missed the cut, ending his record streak at 142 consecutive cuts on the PGA Tour.

Last week: Jim Furyk won the Wachovia Championship, making an 8-foot par putt to force extra holes, then holing a 6-footer for par in the playoff.

Notes: Woods, the 1997 winner, is skipping the tournament after the death of his father last week. ... Furyk tops the field along with past champions Vijay Singh (2003), Ernie Els (1995) and Sergio Garcia (2004).

LPGA Tour

Event: Michelob Ultra Open at Kingsmill.

Where: Kingsmill Golf Club, River Course, 6,306 yards, par 71, Williamsburg, Va.

When: Today-Sunday.

Purse: $2.2 million.

Winner's share: $330,000.

TV: ESPN2, 2-4 p.m. tomorrow-Saturday and 4-6 p.m. Sunday.

Last year: Cristie Kerr ended Annika Sorenstam's record-tying winning streak at five events.

Last week: Kerr overcame a four-stroke deficit to win her seventh LPGA title with a tournament-record 19-under 269 total in the Franklin American Mortgage Championship.

Notes: Sorenstam is winless in four starts after opening the season with a victory in the MasterCard Classic in Mexico.

Champions Tour

Event: Boeing Championship.

Where: The Raven Golf Club at Sandestin, 6,931 yards, par 71, Sandestin, Fla.

When: Tomorrow-Sunday.

Purse: $1.6 million.

Winner's share: $240,000.

TV: The Golf Channel, 6-8:30 p.m. tomorrow-Sunday.

Last year: Jim Thorpe won consecutive events for the third time in his Champions Tour career.

Last week: Brad Bryant won the Regions Charity Classic in Hoover, Ala.

Notes: Tim Simpson is making his first Champions Tour start. The four-time PGA Tour winner turned 50 Saturday.
