Can't wait
Frank Lampard has been one of the main reasons Chelsea won its second consecutive English Premier League title this year, playing in at least 50 games in each of the last three seasons.
Now that Chelsea has clinched the title, Lampard, a midfielder, is ready to head to Germany and play in the World Cup for England.
"I can't wait for the summer," he said.
England had been expected to have a chance to win the World Cup for the second time in its history, but an injury to striker Wayne Rooney has hurt the team.
Smile, Thierry
From New York to Tokyo, soccer fans around the world will get a chance to pose for a picture with France standout forward Thierry Henry.
Well, at least a life-size replica of him.
Henry's image will appear at 16 airports around the world while he is in Germany trying to help France win a second World Cup title.
The Henry replicas will be set up at Emirates viewing stations at airports in cities such as New York; Zurich, Switzerland; London; Tokyo; Shanghai; Hong Kong; Sydney, Australia; Milan, Italy; Rome, and Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The viewing stations also will broadcast live matches from the tournament in Germany, as well as have other displays and information for visitors.
