Mayor Bob O'Connor will present guitarist Joe Negri with a proclamation recognizing his contributions to music-based youth education.

Mr. Negri will be honored today at 11 a.m. at the Manchester Craftmen's Guild.

The event is part of three days of interactive jazz concerts for approximately 2,500 elementary school children. Third Grade Jazz, sponsored by UPMC Health Plan, will consist of short performances by local jazz educators, including Mr. Negri.
