CMU orchestra plays Heinz Hall
Wednesday, April 05, 2006

Often lost in the hoopla about fancy robots and self-driving cars is Carnegie Mellon University's accomplished School of Music. Its student musicians will get an opportunity to show off their abilities when the Carnegie Mellon Philharmonic performs at Heinz Hall, Downtown. The conductor is Pittsburgh Symphony music adviser Sir Andrew Davis. For $5, you can hear two ninth symphonies: Dvorak's and Shostakovich's. At 8 tonight, 412-268-2383.
