Two city campuses, Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Pittsburgh, are among those with programs highly touted in the new U.S. News graduate school rankings released today.
Carnegie Mellon's college of engineering is ranked eighth best in the nation, up one notch from last year.
Among MBA programs, Carnegie Mellon's Tepper School moved up one spot to 16, tying with Cornell University's Johnson School.
The Pitt School of Medicine kept its 16th ranking in the Schools of Medicine/Research category, and it rose from last year's 40th rank among Schools of Medicine/Primary Care to 33rd The Katz Graduate School of Business advanced to 48th place from 57th last year. The 2007 edition of America's Best Graduate Schools will appear on newsstands Monday.
