There will be intermittent road closures and detours Downtown and in Oakland over the next few days during filming of the CBS pilot "Smith." Port Authority buses will be rerouted as well.
Police will direct traffic along Liberty Avenue between 9th and 10th Streets from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today.
The 10th Street Bypass will have outbound lane closures tomorrow from 2 to 6 p.m., and will be closed completely from 6 p.m. to 4 a.m. Saturday.
On Sunday and again on Tuesday, Fifth Avenue between South Craig and South Bellefield in Oakland will have two lanes inbound into the city and outbound traffic will be rerouted to Forbes and Craig from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Smithfield Street, including its bus lane, will be closed between Sixth and Seventh avenues from 10 a.m. to approximately 6 p.m. today. This will cause detours for the 63A North Braddock Express, 63B Rankin Express, 68B Blackridge-Laketon Express, 68D Braddock Hills Express, 68G Swisshelm Park Express, 77D Highland-Friendship, 77F Morningside-Friendship, 77G Stanton Heights-Friendship and W Wilkins Avenue Flyer routes.
There will be outbound detours Sunday, Monday and Tuesday for the 28X Airport Flyer, 44U Oakland-Mt. Lebanon, 71A Negley, 71C Wilkinsburg-East Liberty, 71D Hamilton, 74B Highland Park-RIDC, 77U Oakland-Penn Hills, 500 Highland Park-Bellevue and EBO East Busway-Oakland routes.
Port Authority customers are advised to expect possible delays in travel times due to this work, and some stops may be temporarily discontinued and temporarily established.
