President to visit West Virginia
Tuesday, March 21, 2006

President Bush will visit Wheeling, W.Va., tomorrow, continuing his series of speeches designed to shore up support for the administration's position on the war on terror.

The president is scheduled to deliver a lunchtime address at the Capitol Music Center. The event is not open to the general public. Mr. Bush was in Ohio yesterday, speaking on the same subject at the City Club of Cleveland.

On his way to the Wheeling speech, Mr. Bush will continue to stress the positive aspects of the military conflict, as he presents the President's Volunteer Service Award to Kristen Holloway of Mt. Lebanon for her work in founding Operation Troop Appreciation, a nonprofit group dedicated to collecting donations for troops from the region serving overseas. The 29-year-old PPG employee and her colleagues have provided thousands of troops with supplies and equipment ranging from hot-weather garments to DVDs, phone cards and sports equipment.

Mr. Bush will return to the region Friday, when he will appear at a fund-raising event for U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum, R-Pa.
