"LIGHTS! GLAMOUR! ACTION!"

Dawn Keezer, director of the Pittsburgh Film Office, looked every bit the movie star as she greeted the 750 guests who attended last night's "Lights! Glamour! Action!' gala at SouthSide Works Theater. The black tie affair included the opportunity to watch the Oscars on giant movie screens after Pittsburgh's own acting awards were handed out. The benefit supports the film office, which promotes filmmaking in Pittsburgh.

MARDI GRAS GALA

Murry Gerber, Equitable Resources chairman and CEO, was crowned king of Mardi Gras during the Epilepsy Foundation Western/Central Pennsylvania's black tie bash at the Westin Convention Center Hotel on Tuesday evening. Nearly 800 guests attended the 12th annual gala, including deposed king Hoddy Hanna and event co-chairs Kim Tillotson Fleming and Morgan O'Brien.

PENGUINS AT YOUR SERVICE

BEAUX ARTS BALL

Back to celebrate Carnegie Mellon University College of Fine Arts' 100th anniversary, the costume ball's light and shadow theme stirred Kate Boyd's animal instincts. Students, faculty and guests gathered at the college on Saturday night to revel in creative couture.
