Arrest in Allentown car shootings

A 21-year-old Arlington man was arrested yesterday in connection with a shooting Monday in Allentown that resulted in a two-car crash that seriously injured two people.

Brandon Alton has been charged with three counts each of attempted homicide and aggravated assault and one count of carrying a firearm without a license.

Mr. Alton is charged with shooting at the two cars on Millbridge Street before they sped off an then collided with one another at Walter Street and Manton Way. One man was shot in the head, another suffered a severe spinal cord injury and a third was shot in the hand.

Mr. Alton's preliminary hearing is set for Thursday.
