Greenpoints program shrinks
Thursday, March 02, 2006

Shop 'n Save customers face the choice of redeeming their S&H greenpoints by March 17 or registering online at greenpoints.com to continue participating in the rewards program.

Most of the Pittsburgh-area grocery stores will no longer offer the program now that Minneapolis grocer distributor Supervalu is selling about 20 corporate stores with plans to serve only as the supplier to the more than 60 Shop 'n Saves run as independent stores.

An S&H Solutions spokeswoman said two independent stores will keep the program. Other area businesses, including CoGo's convenience stores and Baierl Automotive Group, also will continue to offer the reward points used to earn products such as movie rentals, appliances or jewelry.
