BUSINESS

Areawide -- The Butler County Chamber of Commerce, Women's Business Connect and Clearview Mall will host Expo at the Mall Feb. 10 and 11 at Clearview Mall, Route 8, Butler Township. Open to all businesses, the cost to participate is $100 per exhibitor and includes a 10-foot by 8-foot booth space, an 8-foot table and two chairs. CLASSES

SCHOLARSHIPS

Areawide -- Cranberry Area Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring its 2006 student essay contest. High school seniors from Mars Area, North Allegheny, Seneca Valley or private schools in those districts and children of chamber members are eligible. Three $1,000 scholarships will be awarded. This year's topic is, "What experiences have led you to choose your educational field and career goals?" VOLUNTEERS

Areawide -- Greater Pittsburgh Literacy Council is seeking volunteers to teach basic reading, writing, math, computer skills and English as a Second Language to adults throughout Allegheny County. More than 100 students are waiting for tutors. A workshop for tutors in English as a Second Language will be held from noon to 3:30 p.m. Feb 13, 14, 20 and 21 at Shaler North Hills Library, 1822 Mount Royal Blvd. The workshop provides 12 hours of training in the skills needed to help students.
