New Business/New Offices

North American Energy Services (NAES) announced the merger of its wholly owned subsidiaries, American Boiler & Chimney Co. (AB&C), based in Pittsburgh, and Power Maintenance Resources Inc. (PMRI), of Hillsboro, Ore., into a single company under the name NAES Power Contractors Inc. Effective Jan. 1, the two subsidiaries will become divisions of NAES Power Contractors and will remain headquartered at their current locations.

Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar opened a restaurant on Dec. 12 at 3944 Brodhead Road, Monaca.

Contracts

Tailored Marketing Inc. announced INPAX as a new client.

Landau Building Co. was awarded a contract to construct a four-story building known as the National Energy Technology Lab for the U.S. Department of Energy in Morgantown, W.Va.

Cuddy Roofing Co. announced the roofing and sheet metal contract award for One Mellon Penthouse.

Community College of Allegheny County selected Wellington Power Corp.'s Teledata Division to provide fiber optic and data cabling to its South campus. The contract is valued at $472,000.

JLG Industries Inc. was awarded a two-year, $7.6-million contract from the Department of Army for All-Terrain Lifter Army System vehicles under the Iraqi Supplemental Acquisition Military program.

KMA Design was selected to design an exterior signage package for the Quonset Business Park in North Kingstown, R.I.

Dividends

Emclaire Financial Corp. declared a quarterly cash dividend of 27 cents per share, payable Dec. 23 to shareholders of record Dec. 1.

Grants/loans

Tickets for Kids Foundation has been awarded a $5,000 grant from Citizens Charitable Foundation to support the Living and Learning in Our Neighborhood program. This program enriches the lives of thousands of children residing in Pittsburgh and Erie by enabling them to be included in our region's outstanding arts, cultural and educational events.

Making a Difference/Doing Good

Employees of Herr Foods Inc. rallied to support Gulf Coast hurricane victims this fall. They gave $10,845 toward The Salvation Army's relief fund. Herr Foods Inc. matched the figure in addition to its initial contribution of $10,000, bringing the total donation to $31,690.
