Saturdays in the City program to feature a Kid's Holiday Crawl

To help celebrate the season, the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust will host the Kids Holiday Crawl in the Cultural District from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 3.

The Trust, in association with the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership's "Saturdays in the City" program, is inviting families to Downtown to take in a series of free events geared toward children.

Schedule of events

PA Culinary School, 808 Liberty Ave.: Culinary faculty and students will decorate holiday cookies with families.

SPACE, 812 Liberty Ave. : Zany Umbrella Circus will perform a host of entertaining events.

Cabaret Theater, 655 Penn Ave. (www.clocabaret.com): Pittsburgh CLO Academy will perform.

707 Penn Avenue: The Jewish Community Center of Greater Pittsburgh will conduct a Hanukkah activity. Children and their families will learn about the holiday and make a Hanukkah craft; kids will also learn to play dreidel.

Bridgespotters Gallery, 709 Penn Ave.: Holiday jazz with Tony Campbell and the Jazz Workshop.

MCG Gallery, 800 Penn Ave.: Beginning With Books staff will have storytellers and the Story Mobile and will conduct a book drive. Families are encouraged to donate new/used books. Story Mobile will be parked outside of the building.

Pittsburgh Opera, 801 Penn Ave.: Holiday Opera Improv for families in the Pittsburgh Opera rehearsal room.

Fragile Paradise, 813 Liberty Ave.: Create your own holiday ornament.

Three Rivers Arts Festival Gallery, 937 Liberty Ave., second floor: TRAF will host a holiday card-making studio.

Prime Stage Theatre, 937 Liberty Ave., first floor: holiday crafts.

African American Cultural Center 209/9 Gallery, 209 Ninth St.: Holiday activities.

Fifth Avenue Place: The Children's Museum of Pittsburgh staff will provide holiday activities.

Point Park University Singers: Festive caroling through the streets of the Cultural District.

The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, 803 Liberty Ave., 1-1:30 p.m.: Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus and a Radio City Rockette will greet children, and Eat'n Park Smiley Cookies will be served.
