Carnegie

A pickup truck owner who had a 150-pound aluminum tailgate stolen from his vehicle while it was parked on Forest Avenue between Oct. 14-16 is offering a monetary reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person/persons responsible for the theft. Frederick W. Markovitz IV, 22, of East Wiley Avenue in Washington, Washington County, was charged Friday with possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of a concealed firearm, receiving stolen property and providing false identification to police following an incident at Carnegie Towers.

Richard J. Sherba, 51, of the 500 block of Bouquet Street, was charged Tuesday with indirect criminal contempt for violating protection from abuse order on North Bell Avenue.

Collier

Christina Prescott, 29, of Brabec Street in Troy Hill, was charged Friday with retail theft after police said she attempted to leave Home Depot, Chartiers Valley Shopping Center, without paying for an estimated $1,300 worth of laminated flooring.

During the night of Oct. 25-26, several doors worth $1,200, 18 light canisters worth $500 and eight skylights valued at $1,500, were reported stolen from a townhouse construction site on Crest Drive.

During the night of Oct. 26-27, vandals damaged a golf ball picker cart and two greens at the Club at Nevillewood.

At 4 p.m. Friday, a woman tried to steal $123 worth of clothing from T.J. Maxx, Great Southern Shopping Center, but dropped the clothes while being pursued by store employees.

About 6 p.m. Oct. 26, a man in his 50s wearing a ball cap attempted to steal a Rigid Tubing Cutter worth $26.97 from Home Depot, Chartiers Valley Shopping Center. He dropped the item when a store employee who had observed the theft went after him.

Kennedy

Gregg Swaney, 49, of Stowe, was charged Friday with fraud after police said he used a credit card from a former employer at the Travel Inn.

Nicholas Malagan, 25, of McKees Rocks, was charged Oct. 24 with retail theft after police said he was identified by the Giant Eagle manager as the individual who stole cigarettes and ran from the store without paying for them.

Mark Leeds, 37, of Crafton, was charged Oct. 16 with retail theft, defiant trespass and careless driving after police said he stole more than $320 worth of items and fled from Shop 'N Save in Kenmawr Plaza.

Robinson

Aliaksandr Bulychev, 27, of Squirrel Hill, was charged Oct. 23 with driving under the influence of alcohol on Bayer Road.

Tanisha Corlew, 23, of Wilkinsburg, was charged Oct. 22 with false reports to law enforcement authorities, driving under suspension and expired inspection after police said she gave them a false name to avoid arrest after her vehicle was stopped on Route 60.

Paul Czolba, 37, of Pittsburgh, was charged Oct. 21 with retail theft and receiving stolen property after police said he was caught trying to steal clothing worth $198 from Kaufmann's.

Scott

Keith P. Doolin, 38, of the 800 block of Capital Drive, Carnegie, was charged Oct. 24 with retail theft after police said he tried to steal four DVD movies and two Halloween costumes from Wal Mart, Raceway Plaza. The items totaled $255.46.

Mark Speaks, 43, of the 100 block of Angela Drive, Braddock, was charged last Thursday with retail theft after police said he tried to steal some clothes from Wal-Mart, Raceway Plaza.

South Fayette

Bradley Noone, 19, of Bank Street, Bridgeville, and Justin Thomas Cahill, 20, of Ridge Avenue, Carnegie, were charged Sunday with underage drinking and prowling around the closed Exxon station on Washington Pike.

During Saturday night, unknown persons deposited two dozen eggs, one bottle of Crisco and two cans of clam chowder on a car parked in the 200 block of Hunting Ridge Trail.
