MEGAN HILL

SCHOOL: Penn Hills.

WHO IS SHE? A senior on the Penn Hills girls' soccer team, Hill recently set the school career record for points.

LAST WEEK: Hill set the record with a goal Oct. 10 against Plum. She also had a goal Wednesday against Woodland Hills and one Saturday against-Pine-Richland.

CAREER TOTALS: Hill has 82 career points. The school record was 79, set by 1999 graduate Amy Volker.

This season, Hill has 21 goals and has helped Penn Hills to a WPIAL Class AAA playoff spot.

SMALL SENSATION: Hill is only 5 feet 2. "But you'd be surprised how many balls she wins out of the air," said Penn Hills coach Rusty Brown.

Hill said: "I'm able to get up into the air pretty well, so my size doesn't really affect my game. Sometimes, I use my size to my advantage, like in drawing fouls. Just because taller people will get called for fouls more than me. I have a lot of speed, too, and I'm able to use that."

TOP OF THE CLASS: Hill has a 4.1 grade point average and is ranked No. 1 in Penn Hills' senior class. She has a partial scholarship for soccer to Kent State, an NCAA Division I school.

Aaron's uncle, Tom, was a fullback at Pitt and in the NFL, and Aaron's brother, John, is a freshman offensive lineman at Pitt.
