Phony quarterback punts with plea
Tuesday, August 30, 2005

A Baldwin Borough car salesman accused of impersonating two Steelers quarterbacks to get dates entered a plea bargain yesterday during his preliminary hearing.

Brian Jackson, who was charged last month with criminal mischief and two counts of harassment, will receive only a summary citation for disorderly conduct if he stays away from his alleged victims and receives a good evaluation from the Allegheny County Jail's Behavior Clinic.

The deal was approved by Senior District Judge Lee Peglow at Pittsburgh Municipal Court. It will be finalized in two months if Jackson meets prosecutors' requirements.

Investigators said Jackson, 31, pretended he was Ben Roethlisberger and Brian St. Pierre while wooing two different women, whom he then reportedly harassed after they saw through his deception.
