The Steelers today cut two veterans and eight rookies or first-year players.
The roster now stands at 75, and the team must cut four more by 4 p.m. tomorrow.
Seven-year veteran fullback/tight end Matt Cushing and eight-year veteran wide receiver Chris Doering were released.
The team waived five first-year players: offensive tackle Josh Burr, wide receiver Zmir Cobb, defensive back Vontez Duff, center Joe Iorio and wide receiver Walter Young.
Also cut were three rookies: offensive tackle Morgan Davis, kicker Shaun Suisham and guard Jake Verstraete.
