Charity Events
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society will sponsor "Dress Down Day 2005" on July 14. Employees participating are asked to donate $5 and to wear casual clothes to work. Participants will wear stickers explaining their involvement in the event. For details, 1-800-726-CURE.

Special Opportunities The Allegheny County Health Department is offering food protection certification courses for food industry workers.

The cost $60 for county residents or those employed at food facilities in the county, $75 for others.

It will be offered July 8 and 15 at Linton Middle School, Penn Hills and July 22 and 29 at Shaler Area High School, Shaler.

The certification exam will be given July 20 at the ACHD's Food Safety Division in Lawrence-ville and costs $40 for county residents or those employed at facilities in the county and $55 for others.
