A man in his 30s was critically injured in a bicycle accident last night in Squirrel Hill, police said.
The man, whose name was not released, was described by police as a professional biker who was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash in the 1900 block of Beechwood Boulevard.
The man was riding in the bike lane around 8 p.m. when he rode over a tree limb on the ground, causing him to flip over the bike's handle bars, said city police Sgt. Brian Elledge.
He was transported to UPMC Presbyterian in critical condition.
