City picks up arty reputation

In AmericanStyle Magazine's latest ranking of the top 25 arts destinations, New York City ranks No. 1 followed by Chicago in second place and San Francisco in third in the category of cities with populations of more than 500,000.

Pittsburgh, classified as a mid-sized city with a population of 500,000 or fewer people, ranks 10th. In this category, New Orleans was No. 1, followed by second ranked Albuquerque, N.M., Scottsdale, Arizona; Las Vegas, Nev., Honolulu, Hawaii; Atlanta, Ga.; Savannah, Ga.; Ann Arbor, Mich.; Miami, Fla and then Pittsburgh. The magazine's readers tell people not to miss the Andy Warhol Museum, the Frick Art & Historical Center, the Society for Contemporary Craft, the Manchester Craftsmen's Guild and the Three Rivers Arts Festival.
