Baptist-Pentecostal conference to meet

The 11th annual state conference of the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship of Pennsylvania kicks off its three-day program today at the Pentecostal Temple Church of God in Christ in East Liberty.

The multi-cultural and multi-denominational fellowship, which bridges the gap between Baptist and Pentecostal traditions, has 12 churches in Western Pennsylvania, including six in Pittsburgh.

Presiding Bishop Paul S. Morton of New Orleans, who founded the fellowship in 1992, will address the 6 p.m. Friday session.
