State commission disciplines 13 educators

The state Professional Practices and Standards Commission has taken disciplinary action against 13 educators, ranging from a public reprimand to a certificate revocation.

The actions, which were posted on the state Department of Education Web site last week, include one against Robert A. Stull, who last taught music in the Leechburg Area School District. His certificate was revoked after he was "alleged to have engaged in an inappropriate sexual relationship with a student."

Other educators, including their last known school districts, who were disciplined are:

Ricardo Burns, also known as Ricardo Curry, Lancaster Area, certificate surrendered, federally charged with mail fraud.

Anthony B. Corl, Conestoga Valley, Lancaster County, certificate surrendered in lieu of discipline, "alleged to have engaged in inappropriate sexual relationships with female students.''

Diane Kashuba-Montelius, Philadelphia School District, certificate suspended, conviction of possessing instruments of crime and reckless endangering another person,

Larry R. Taub, Philadelphia School District, certificate revoked, convicted of corruption of minors and endangering the welfare of children.

Shelly C. Difatta, Central Dauphin, certificate surrendered in lieu of discipline, alleged to have "engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a male student.''

Taurus K. Gilbert, Lancaster, certificate revoked, convicted of corruption of minors and indecent assault.

Kevin C. Wasielewski, Lehigh Career and Technical Institute, public reprimand, alleged to have used "inappropriate and threatening language with students and to have used a school district laptop computer to access pornographic Web sites.''

Traian C. Cruceru, last school unknown, certificate revoked, convicted of rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, corruption of minors, sexual abuse of children, indecent assault, indecent exposure and attempted rape.

Barrett L. Owens, Central Cambria, certificate surrendered, charged with corruption of minors, indecent assault, indecent exposure, sexual assault, rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, statutory sexual assault and aggravated indecent assault "stemming from incidents with a student."

Jeffry A. Henrie, Danville Area, Montour County, certificate surrendered, pleaded no contest to three counts of harassment after being criminally charged with indecent assault and corruption of minors due to allegations that he "inappropriately touched female students."

Leah A. Toth, Council Rock, Bucks County, certificate revoked, allegation of "inappropriate conduct with a student through e-mail and by sexual physical contact."

James M. Dehls, Norwich Free Academy , certificate revoked, alleged to have "engaged in sexual harassment of a student and misrepresentations of his educational qualifications on several employment applications.''
