CLASSES

Franklin Park -- Ingomar United Methodist Church, 1501 W. Ingomar Road, will hold an American Red Cross baby-sitting certification class for age 12 and older from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. DONATIONS

Areawide -- Quaker Valley High School Student Service Learning Center is collecting and recycling printer ink cartridges and old cell phones for tsunami relief efforts. Ink cartridges can bring in $1.50 to $4 each; cell phones can bring in up to $45 each. The money will be sent to Sri Lanka to help rebuild the school in its Batticaloa region. McCandless -- Northmont United Presbyterian Church, 8169 Perry Highway, will offer an Easter sunrise service at 7:15 a.m. today followed by breakfast; and Easter Sunday services at 8:30 and 11 a.m. Call 412-364-0105.

ENTERTAINMENT

Richland -- The PovertyNeck Hillbillies will perform at 8 p.m. April 16 at Kean Theatre in The Washington Place, 5847 Meridian Road. Tickets are $35 for general admission or $41 for director's circle seating. Proceeds benefit the St. Barnabas Free Care Fund. Call 724-444-5326.

McCandless -- La Roche College students will perform the musical, "Fiddler on the Roof" at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday, Saturday and at 2 p.m. next Sunday in Providence Hall Auditorium on the college's West Campus, 9000 Babcock Blvd. Tickets are available at the door and are $5 for students and $7 for adults. Pine -- Pine-Richland senior citizens are invited to a performance of the musical "Crazy for You" at 4 p.m. Thursday, at the Pine-Richland High School Auditorium. Reservations are not required.

FUND-RAISERS

Pine -- Sisters of St. Francis of Millvale will hold a Hearts and Hands Gala on Saturday at Treesdale Community Center, 1 Treesdale Commons. Events begin at 6:30 p.m. and include wine and chocolate tasting, an art auction and a silent auctions. Hors d'oeuvres served. Advance tickets are $20. Prospect -- Naturalist Esther Allen will speak on the history of Pittsburgh during Moraine Preservation Fund's dinner and silent auction Thursday in the Garden Gate Restaurant, Route 422. McCandless -- Ingomar Child Enrichment Center at Ingomar United Methodist Church, 1501 W. Ingomar Road, will hold its spring plant sale Tuesday through April 20. Butler -- The YWCA of Butler will hold its Granny's Attic rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the facility, 120 Cunningham St., offering clothing, furniture, dishes, toys and miscellaneous items. Donations can be left in the YWCA lobby.

SPECIAL INTEREST

Areawide -- The Fresh Air Fund is looking for host families to participate in the Friendly Town Program, giving New York City children age 6-12 a chance to experience the suburbs and countryside. Summer visit dates are June 30 to July 11, July 13 to July 25 and July 27 to Aug. 8. Host families may specify the age and gender of the child. There are no financial requirements.

Zelienople -- Glade Run Gardens will hold its spring symposium, an educational garden workshop, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. next Sunday in the recreation building on the Glade Run Lutheran Services main campus on Beaver Road.
