NBC hasn't announced any of the in-front-of-camera talent for its upcoming miniseries focusing on the events of Sept. 11, 2001, but the behind-the-scenes profile continues to rise.

Former ABC News correspondent Peter Lance ("1,000 Years for Revenge: International Terrorism and the FBI -- the Untold Story") and former Washington Post managing editor Steve Coll ("Ghost Wars: the Secret History of the CIA, Afghanistan and Bin Laden, from the Soviet Invasion to September 10, 2001") are on board as consultants. Fred Golan ("Boomtown," "Law & Order: Trial by Jury") has been added to the film's writing staff.

Lance, Coll and Golan join a team that already includes executive producers Brian Grazer, Ron Howard and David Nevins of Imagine Television and writer and executive producer Graham Yost ("Boomtown").

In addition, The New York Times, which won multiple Pulitzer Prizes for its 9/11 coverage, will consult. The Times will also allow the miniseries use of its acclaimed "Portraits of Grief" series, which ran daily after the terrorist attacks and put a human face on the tragedy's casualties. (Zap2it.com)
