A week of special activities in Catholic schools
Wednesday, January 26, 2005

St. Agnes School has its very own groundhog for Groundhog Day.

There have been sightings near a hole by the seventh-grade window. Still, the school can't count on the groundhog to make an appearance next Wednesday, so a pupil dressed as a groundhog will show up in classrooms instead, Principal Sister Cynthia Wessel said.

It's all part of the fun for Catholic Schools Week, being celebrated Sunday through Feb. 5. There are plenty of offbeat activities and appreciation days for parents, teachers, students, staff and volunteers.
