Special teams were the difference as the host Binghamton Senators scored three power play goals and went eight-for-eight on the penalty kill en route to a 5-1 win against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena.
Matt Hussey had the only goal for the Penguins (18-10-4-3), who have now lost two in a row and sit in a second place tie with the Senators (19-14-3-2). Marc-Andre Fleury took the loss for the Penguins, allowing five goals on 30 shots. David Koci had the Penguins lone goal.
