Propel Schools has won another round with the state Charter School Appeal Board, this one for its proposal to open a charter school in Montour School District next fall.
The appeal board voted 6-0 in the charter school's favor yesterday.
Jeremy Resnick, founder and executive director of Propel Schools, said it expects to open the charter for kindergarten through sixth grade next fall, with grades seven and eight to be added later. The school, which is to open with about 250 children, is planned for McMichael Road in Robinson.
Propel previously won state appeals for schools in Homestead and McKeesport, but the McKeesport Area School District has filed an appeal to Commonwealth Court.
