Fox Chapel coach Mark Perry said it's hard to find players like E.J. McCormick. In fact, there's no one in area high school soccer like him.

McCormick, a senior forward, is the Post-Gazette Player of the Year. The award takes into consideration all players in the WPIAL and City League.

"He's just a pure goal-scorer. He wants to score goals," Perry said.
