A 70-year-old Fayette County woman was hit by two cars and killed when she chased her husband into the street with a butter knife during an argument, authorities said.
Jeanetta Nicholson of Springfield Township died at 8:50 p.m. Monday night near her home on Indian Creek Road.
Nicholson was chasing her husband, Robert, 71, when she entered the roadway, Deputy Coroner Elsie Dvorchak said.
"The dispute apparently spilled onto the northbound lane of the road and, where she was hit once, then she flipped over that vehicle and landed in the southbound lane and was hit again by another vehicle," Dvorchak said.
State police haven't identified the drivers of either vehicle and wouldn't say Tuesday whether charges will be filed.
