Children's Museum receives another $1 million in state funds
Wednesday, November 10, 2004

The Children's Museum of Pittsburgh received an additional $1 million from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development for the expansions recently completed, helping the North Side museum surpass its capital goal of $28 million for the project.

The museum received $8 from the state in 2002 to fund the expansion.

The expansion connects the museum's former home in the Old Post Office building to the Buhl Planetarium building with a new three-story structure.

The additional $1 million will help complete renovations of two classrooms and a new board room, as well as support an endowment.
