Two people were injured, one of them fatally, in a two-vehicle accident yesterday in Reade.

Christine McGuire, 36, of Blandburg, died of blunt force trauma at Altoona Hospital following the accident in the 1500 block of Skyline Drive, state police said.

Barry Krazalkovich, 51, of Flinton, was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries, police said.

McGuire was driving north and negotiating a right curve about 2:20 p.m. when she apparently lost control of her 1990 Ford Escort, state police said. Her vehicle crossed the center line and collided with a 2002 Dodge Ram driven by Krazalkovich, who was heading south.

The investigation is continuing, state police said.
