Butler -- Butler County Chamber of Commerce will hold a golf outing and dinner June 17 at Oakview Golf Club and Lake Arthur Country Club. Registration and breakfast begins at 8:30 a.m. at Oakview. McKean St., will begin a summer reading program Monday with ventriloquist Cindy Speack at 11 a.m. The library also will offer preschool story time June 17 through July 23. Three-year-olds will meet 10:30 to 11 a.m. Thursdays; ages 4-6 will meet from 1:30 to 2 p.m. Thursdays or 10:30 to 11 a.m. Fridays. Activities will include games and crafts. Group size is limited.

Scandals & Mansions trip will take a look at Cleveland's wealthiest families of the Gilded Age on July 14. Lunch at Pine Ridge Country Club in Wickcliffe, Ohio. Cost is $55 per person, lunch included. Bus leaves at 7:30 a.m. and returns at 6 p.m.

See the revue "The Irish and How They Got That Way" at the Riverside Inn in Cambridge Springs, Crawford County, on Aug. 4. Cost is $60 per person, and includes lunch. Bus leaves at 9:45 a.m.
