Having trouble getting rid of large appliances, electronics, old tires or latex paint? Bring them to Construction Junction in Point Breeze next Saturday.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Pennsylvania Resources Council and other agencies will collect these and other hard-to-recycle items at 214 N. Lexington St. Fees range from $1 per tire or paint can to $10 for computer systems, $15 for air conditioners and $15-$20 for televisions. All material will be recycled, refurbished or disposed of responsibly. Volunteers are needed to help.

At the same time, the Group Against Smog and Pollution will offer free test rides in hybrid electric vehicles.
