Paul Spadafora is scheduled to return to the ring April 29 at the Hilton Garden Inn Southpointe -- his first fight in almost a year and his first bout since being charged with shooting his girlfriend in October.
Spadafora will face an opponent to be determined at 140 pounds, and it will be his first non-televised pro fight in almost five years. Promoter Mike Acri said he is trying to line up a Latin American or European opponent so he could tape the show and possibly sell the foreign broadcast rights.
Acri said the card also will include McKeesport's Dan Harvison, Pittsburgh's Scott Kelly and possibly former World Boxing Association heavyweight champion Bruce Seldon. Tickets are $100, 60 and $20 and will go on sale tomorrow at the hotel, Pittsburgh Brewing, Three Rivers Boxing, Fredo's Deli in Dormont and Blue Eagle Sports in McKees Rocks.
