Boston captain Joe Thornton is listed as day to day with an apparent wrist injury and isn't expected to play in the Bruins' home finale today against the Devils or in the Bruins' final game tomorrow at New Jersey. He did not practice yesterday with the Bruins, who can finish anywhere from second to sixth in the Eastern Conference.

Red Wings F Tomas Holmstrom signed a three-year contract with the Red Wings.

No other terms were disclosed. He would have been an unrestricted free agent this summer. The rugged seven-year veteran has 15 goals and 15 assists this season.

Derek Armstrong agreed to terms on a multiyear contract extension with the Kings. No other terms were disclosed. Armstrong has a career-high 14 goals and 21 assists in 57 games this season.

The Blue Jackets recalled D Darrel Scoville from Syracuse (AHL) for their remaining two games.

Scoville scored 10 goals and added 32 assists in 66 games for the Crunch.
