LEGENDARY MENU

Legends of the North Shore, North Side, will feature a special Valentine's Day menu all weekend, featuring homemade wedding soup, crab-stuffed salmon with saffron cream sauce, gnocchi alla vodka and mussels with garlic tomato basil sauce.

GABLES IS OPEN

Green Gables Restaurant, Jennerstown, is usually closed for the winter. It will be open tomorrow for a special Valentine's dinner featuring Chicken Cordon Bleu, red snapper with roasted red pepper aioli and eggplant skordalia.

CARLTON WINE DINNER

On Feb. 23 at 6:30 p.m., The Carlton, Downtown, and Bruce Hurst of Beringer join for a St. Clement/St. Jean wine dinner. Wines will be paired with dishes including: seared ahi tuna with chile-plum glaze, butter poached lobster, beef Brie ravioli, rack of lamb and strawberry cobbler. Cost is $119, non-inclusive. WATCH 'EM SUFFER

The Bridge Bar, in the Renaissance Pittsburgh Hotel, Downtown, invites fans of the NBC reality show "The Apprentice," in every Thursday night at 9 to watch the program. Each Thursday the bar features "Apprentice"-inspired drinks: Trump's Gold Martini, Trump's Big Chief Martini and, every night at 10, a Pink Slip Martini, which changes weekly.

KAYA LOVES VEGGIES

On Wednesday, Kaya, Strip District, bounces back with a vegetarian prix fixe dinner. The eight-course tasting menu includes: chilled asparagus jicama terrine, goat cheese pineapple beggar's purse, seitan Wellington, roasted whole cauliflower and tropical fruit tarte tatin, among other choices.

Cost is $37 per person, non-inclusive. Add a wine per course for an additional $23, or beer for $18. Call 412-261-6565.
