Clear Intentions said Barbara Schwarck was named professional certified coach, the second-highest certification granted by the International Coach Federation. Schwarck is the first person to acquire the certification of PCC in Western Pennsylvania.

LLI Technologies Inc. said Scott A. Kraynak earned the certified energy manager certification from the Association of Energy Engineers; and Donald M. Staff obtained his Pennsylvania professional engineer license.

Daniel Gagne, M.D., and Angela Keleher, M.D., both surgeons at The Western Pennsylvania Hospital, were among the initiates who became Fellows of the American College of Surgeons during the College's annual Clinical Congress in Chicago. Gagne is director of the West Penn Bariatric Surgery Center and co-director of West Penn Allegheny Health System's Minimally Invasive Surgery Center and associate program director for West Penn Hospital's General Surgery Residency program. Keleher is associate director of the Surgical Breast Disease Program at West Penn Hospital.
