In honor of the 250th anniversary of George Washington's first visit to Western Pennsylvania, the Braddock's Field Historical Society will host a program this morning.
The program will feature readings from Washington's journal, a talk on John Fraser, who was the first trader in the area, and a talk on Queen Aliquippa, who was a Native American leader who met with Washington during his stay in Fraser's cabin.
The free program will be held at 10 a.m. in the Braddock Carnegie Library.
