Profile of the week

  Sharon L. West

Job: Multimedia strategist, Agnew Moyer Smith Communication Planning and Design

Age: 37

Ambitions: To never lose focus on what is important. To play as hard as I work. To see even more of the world. To be fearless.

First job: First real job: writer/production assistant for a national magazine.

Hardest job/why?: Teaching. It was frustrating when you couldn't reach someone, when he or she was just not willing to get it. But when you made the breakthrough, it was worth every effort you had to make.

Biggest work challenge ever: Dealing with people who do not have the same ethics or commitment to quality.

Favorite stock/mutual fund: Lately I enjoy watching Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia Inc.

Away from work I: Maximize life. I photograph everything, capturing the important people in my life, especially my Great Dane and chocolate Lab. I focus on food, friends, family and fun, not in that order.

Dream vacation: Rent a villa in Italy and explore the wine and culinary joys of the region.

Favorite book: "Flash to the Core" by Joshua Davis.

If I won the Lottery, I'd: Laugh at the irony of timing, invest and retire.
