Mayor Bob O'Connor

   Pittsburgh Mayor Bob O'Connor died Sept. 1, ending a two-month battle with primary central nervous system T-cell lymphoma, an unusual cancer of the brain and spinal cord.
   Mr. O'Connor, 61, a former City Council president had sought the mayor's post for 12 years before being elected in 2005. He was sworn into office on Jan. 3. In early July, he was diagnosed with cancer.
