As part of its coverage of the devastation across the Gulf Coast in the wake of  Hurricane Katrina, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and its sister paper, The Blade of  Toledo, Ohio, dispatched reporters George J. Tanber and Tim McNulty and photographers Martha Rial and Lake Fong to chronicle the physical and human scale of the  catastrophe.
