The Penguins' annual development camp, scheduled for next week, will be heavy on top defensive prospects.
The team announced that defensemen Olli Maatta, Scott Harrington, Derrick Pouliot and Brian Dumoulin will attend the camp.
All are candidates to attend the main preseason training camp in September.
Also expected to participate next week are goaltenders Tristan Jarry, the team's top pick, in the second round, at the NHL draft last month, and Eric Hartzell, who was signed in April.
The full roster of rookies and prospects, along with the full schedule, are pending, but there will be a scrimmage open to the public at 3 p.m. July 20 at Consol Energy Center. Admission and parking are free.
The development camp will be run by coach John Hynes, assistant Alain Nasreddine and support staff from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton affiliate, assistant to the general manager Tom Fitzgerald, player development coach Bill Guerin and strength and conditioning coach Mike Kadar.
