BOSTON -- The Penguins' game against Boston tonight at TD Garden has been postponed.

Boston police confirmed the postponement on Twitter.

The teams will play Saturday at 12:38 p.m. instead.

The Penguins' game against the Buffalo Sabres that had been scheduled for Saturday at Consol Energy Center has been moved to Tuesday at 7:38 p.m.

The decision to not play the game was made because of the ongoing manhunt for one of the suspects in the bombing at the Boston Marathon Monday.

That's also the reason that neither the Penguins nor the Bruins conducted their usual game-day skate this morning.

This is the second home game the Bruins have had called off this week.

They were supposed to play Ottawa Monday, but that game was postponed and will be played April 28, a day after the regular season will end for the rest of the league.
